Propylene Glycol is found in FDA approved Food Coloring I believe the FDA has much more better things to do like find a cure for cancer or better H1N1 drugs. Recently they discovered a strand of H1N1 that is resistant to Tamiflu. The FDA needs to focus on current health issues that people proof positive are dying from.

the fda doesn’t develop drugs, their role is to put restrictions on the drug market to protect the profits of the drug companies and limit consumer choices

Right on dude, a friend just gifted me one of these and I wasn’t sure what the health risks were, tho I was concerned when I heard about the antifreeze issue. Very informative, unbiased video.

Most Statistics are biased. For exampl All of the federal marijuana statistics use normative statistics to maintain a negative view against the drug… I understand Nicotine isnt healthy however the government has no right to tell we the people what we can or cannot do with our bodies. It is understandable that the american people should maintain education about these products on the market however their should be unbiased fair reports that supports both arguments.

I just ordered one, thanks for the vids and the inspiration, the thought of waking up in the morning without my lungs hurting is motivating- been smoking for 27 years. It is a great product, and gives smokers and their family members the opportunity to live cleaner healthier lives. I understand about the e juice from China, but banning the e cig is cruel and inhumane to those of us who do smoke.

Great vid. I started vaping about 3 weeks ago and have not smoked a real cig since. I was a light smoker (1/2 pack a day)
but developed astma and was using my inhaler about twice a week. I have not had to use my inhaler in 3 weeks and feel great. I vape using the joye 510 I would recomend it to anyone looking to get off cigarettes, I have no doubt in my mind that smoking was going to kill me eventually. Thanks for posting this vid!!!

bang on mate.
ive moved onto ecigs myself
tobcko had 4800 cancernegns in it ecigs have one toxin.. im not sure if nicotine causes cancer but its way better that 4800… also a 20ml bottle has 26mg of nicotine in it… 1 normal cig has 1 mg… a botle of e juice will last for about 2 months… thats like 26 cigs in 2months… compaired to 26ish mg a day from real cigs… its not good for you but its way less harmfull than smoking
and its more pleasent… all those flavours…mmmm

Thanks for clearing up the antifreeze issue. I almost fell for the FDA’s corrupt b/s. You are right that there should be a standard on them regarding contents labels and the childproof seal. If someone doesn’t introduce a law similar to that, the variety of flavors will be banned just like the law recently passed that allows the FDA to control what flavors come from the tobacco industries–or ultimately have the e-cigs banned all together.

MTXbass07 @ 1:38 pm #

Personally i don’t think that the e-cig will be allowed in such public places for too long- malls, stores, hospitals so on and so forth due to the confusion and message it may present to some people (children especially). Being this product was to find a safer way to consume nicotine, it should remain available yet controlled. I’m surprised that JEL hasn’t had some ads frowning on the e-cig yet…. Oh it’s safer so it must be attracting people to do it, lets attack its reputation….

Why? because is America, lobbies have more sway on fact than reality. Money talks, reality takes a back seat.

Doesn’t take much thought to realize some very very large corporation stand to lose a lot of money because of electronic cigarettes.. Facts get thrown aside when enough money is thrown in the mix, welcome to corporatism… to ask why is redundant now.

More paraphenalia and nicotine raising your blood pressure and squeezing your arteries.
Just stop smoking and don’t take pff ever again.
PS: Tobacco companies also have a vested interest in nicotine.

Yeah its getting banned in public places New Jersey just did it, now they are claiming possible second hand nicotine poisoning. Totally ridiculous! They have nothing to back that claim, no evidence of that ever happening in the history of smoking. The e-cig vapor is an aerosol that does not linger long enough to effect anyone else. Even if a by stander did somehow manage to inhale some of the vapor it would be in measurements of PPM and that makes it negligible.

cjrush1009 @ 12:34 am #

They can have my e-ciggies when they pry them from my cold dead hand!!

Raonisk @ 2:57 am #

Shawn Kaufmann, the things you’re saying about electronic cigarrete bans are the same I’ve been saying since the begining of this year. Tobacco industry in Brazil is bigger than ever, even with the severe bans, and the taxes of this cigarretes makes a whole lot of money for the government, so they don’t want the E-Cigs to become popular.

You are absolutely right.

solblackguy @ 3:16 am #

You hit the nail on the head with the points you made about manufacturing and how this product should be overseen by American Manufacturers. The biggest issue is that tobacco companies are losing billions of dollars and have a huge grip on the government through lobbyists.

From the time that this is posted I’ve been using my E-Cig for a little over a week and noticed significant changes in my health like you already mentioned. It’s a great tool for anyone who wants to quit smoking.
